One of the world's most influential electric guitars, the Fender Stratocaster(R) guitar once owned by Eric Clapton and affectionately known as BLACKIE(R), will be recreated and made available to the public this November 24 from Fender's renowned Custom Shop. This iconic piece of rock 'n' roll history commanded a record price of $959,500 in 2004 at a Christie's auction that benefited the Crossroads Centre, Antigua -- a charity founded by Clapton and which remains close to his heart -- and this marks the first and only time that the guitar will ever be recreated.

BLACKIE(R), a mid-1950s Fender Stratocaster guitar pieced together by Clapton himself from numerous individual guitars, was Clapton's main instrument throughout the 1970s and '80s. Clapton's albums 461 Ocean Boulevard, Slowhand, No Reason To Cry and Just One Night, among others, were all recorded with BLACKIE(R). And in addition to memorable solo tours, Clapton and BLACKIE(R) shared the stage with the likes of Pete Townshend, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters and The Band.

This historic addition to the Custom Shop Tribute Series will replicate BLACKIE(R) down to the smallest of details -- from the worn-to-the-wood body, to the neck re-shaped by Eric's hand as he played a thousand heartfelt solos, to the unmistakable cigarette burns on the headstock.

Said Mike Eldred of Fender's Custom Shop, "This is a dream come true, to work so closely with this magical piece of rock history. To hold BLACKIE and to think about all it has been through and how much fantastic music has come out of it, it's really an indescribable feeling. The Tribute Series BLACKIE guitar is instantly collectible and we're thrilled that it's now available to Eric's fans."

Only 90 pieces will be made for a limited number of Fender retailers outside of the United States. Retail stores from around the world will introduce the guitar on "Black Friday" -- November 24, 2006, with a portion of the proceeds to go to the Crossroads Centre, Antigua. At Last

Phew, at last I got some time to post on my blog. You know how busy a person i am... well yes you know.

Actually I hadn't even touched my computer for a long time due to some new hobbies that I had taken up...

You wont believe I started making cartoons. I was always pretty good at sketching but didnt have the time to do it. After the exams I just thought that why not try it now. I did prettty well and have already turned half the Godfather(for all you morons, its a book by Mario Puzo). I am thinking of self publishing it now.

I came across a very popular ting called zines. Zines are basically copy-shop comics, means hey are published in a copy shop. Its good if you are young like me and cant go to all those big art conventions to publicize themselves.

My Phone went for a drink

You wont believe what happened to my beloved cellphone.... It went out(or maybe in) for a glass of milk....

It was a good old Nokia 6670 before it went into the hands of my cute yet destructive 2 yr old cousins hands. He out it in a glass of milk just to check something. Actually he had come to my house just for the evening and did this job during that time only. But due to someones carelessness(guess who) we didnt know about till the next day. When I just tryed to call a friend of mine it went all out with something else happening when you pressed any buttons. For example when I pressed 1 it started to call someone. When i opened the battery compartment it was all ver milky inside.

Another amazing thing that happened was that when i kept it out in the sun thinking thatthe milk would dry off there were ants all over it and had eaten up the colour of the cell.

Now as the phone is unrepairable (farewell to its short life) I am buying a new phone and would like your opinions in choosing the new cell. I hv options like Sony W550i, Motorazr V3i, W700i( a bit out og my budget but still ok) and others in this range. One thing is clear that i want a phone whiach has sound quality, its my biggest priority. You may even suggest some cells in the range 11 or 12 thousand rs. Thnx and bye.

Hi guys, i haven't been posting much for about a month a now. Thats because i couldnt get a topic to blabber about.

There seems to be so less happening in the world these days(well only if we exclude the Israel-Lebannon war, the called back Unitech Cricket Series, Beginning of EPL, tiger Woods winning his 50th Pga( or something),etc.,etc. the list is very much long but as i said exclude it)

But when ur not blogging and searching for new topics you get across a lot of great new things. I found new sites and much more....

Some of the mu(a)st vistis are:
1.Phaze DDl: All the techies must be knowing about it already but i really didnt know about it till much later. Its great for downloading full version games and hacks.

2.LardOfNet.Blogspot.com: Its a cool blog with many videos of magicians and all...great links too..

3.I also joined many communities like Orkut and Highffive. I didnt like Orkut much as its too much adult oriented and dosent have much communities for teens. But hi5 is of another kind, its totally teen oriented and u can find all ciizens from all countries which's great.

So its sometimes good to go in no-blogging mode for sometime but not for long as you might even lose the addiction(well my vocab didnt allow me any other words).

You might expect a post less spell after 9/11 but not because of the NY thing but due to the fact that I have my half-yearlys coming up. I also hope that we dont have this topicless climate for long(if we forget Federer being beaten by a brit( i forgot the name), Michael Schumacher kicked out of ferarri ,etc.,etc.) To be truthful I was just not well and had a study fever , and also wanted to research the different aspects of the World Wide Web........

Before using Blogger I was using another blogging service called Freewebs.It has many really distinguished features. One of the best is that it builds a website, while all the other blogging sites only build a webpage. The interface is very much easy to use and you also get a lot of free webspace.Any pages you make are listed on the lone left sidebar. Another great option is that you can customize a page to be a page and not necessarily a blog so you can attange the post in an order you want them to be and not in a dated order. The site add-ons are also great like guestbooks, webpolls, background music and mouse special effects(like bubble effect, fire and others).

But as the nature is there are opposites for everything so there are some bad features also like you dont get a side bar, putting advertisments can be a nuisance. Your site visitors are also not allowed to put comments on posts. For that they will have to go to the guest book. Another problem is that if you want to get the sites HTML you will have to downgrade your account permanently to HTML format and then you can't get site add-ons.

But guess what you still have the pragraph editor in the WYSIWIG Editor. I made an experimental site and didnt like it much so I didnt promote it. You can see it by clicking here Please give it a try at Freewebs only when you know a good of HTML. Have fun..

Logitech Attack 3 Joystick

I just baught a new joystick for my computer. Its the new Logitech Attack 3 or ATK3, which simply rocks,man. Its much much better than my old Microsoft Joystick and that I knew as I took it out of the box.

It is highly sensitive can be customized to certain lower or a very much higher senstivity level. It has twin vibrators but these are not available in some of its lower models. It has an easy to use throttle which is also sharp to the teeth. So now you dont have to worry about why the speed dosent go up even when you increased the throttle. It has 11 buttons and has a great grip(made up of transparent rubber kind of material), with great hand support, it even has hand support for your other hand which is on the base. The best things are the top controlled vaccum holders which do not allow it to even budge when when you are playing furiously.

And talk about the looks, it simply is a combination of cool, dangerous and sleek. The stick curves at the end and the buttons are over the curve, giving comfort to both left amd right handers. It comes in many colour combinations, which are upto you to try out(i bought the all black one).

The best deal is it just costs $90(or something I dont know as I baught it in Indian currency) and you get some classic flight simulators like World War 2 Special and Adventure Special Flight simulators. Please give it a try.

Home Alone

My mother and my bro have gone to my mother's mother's house in Allahabad. So I ve been doing Home ALone for a few days(we dont get thieves in our colony so I dont have to fight them off). At first I thought it would be very much fun. I sit in front of the computer the whole day working on this site and watching repeat tele casts of the World Cup matches on the tube but soon get bored. I some times call my friends to my house to watch movies or just play something on my PlayStation. I also have to do my homework and complete my school projects. Living alone also gives you some responsiblities as I also have three dogs to take care of and blog. So maybe living alone is not always a great thing to do.

The Backstreet Boys are saying goodbye to the oldest member of their band, according to a statement posted on the group's Web site(www.backstreetboys.com) Saturday.

Kevin Richardson, 33, said he was leaving to pursue other interests(hmmmmmm what interests can they be.......).

"It was a very tough decision for me but one that was necessary in order to move on with the next chapter of my life," Richardson said in the statement.

The Orlando-based pop band ushered in a new teen-music craze in the late 90's, buoyed by their soulful harmonies, synchronized dance steps, clean-cut good looks and charm. Their three albums sold a total of more than 35 million copies.

The group took a hiatous( as in torn,broken,non-united and cut into pieces, now you understand the maening) in 2001 after A.J. McLean's highly publicized entry into rehab forced the band to postpone their "Black & Blue" tour. They reunited to release the album "Never Gone" in 2005.

The remaining members, McLean,
Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, and
Brian Littrell( see i know all of them), said they had no plans to replace Richardson.

"The door will always be open for him to return to the Backstreet Boys. We wish him the all the best in his future endeavors," they said on the band's Web site.

They plan to work on their album which is supposed to come out later this year. Lets see their purr-formance now.

Germany beat a 10 men Sweden 2-0 making Sweden the first team to be knocked out in the 2nd round and advancing the former to the quarter finals. Sweden coach was not happy with the referee as he had red carded(two yellow cards) one of his key players.

It is an awesome movie and i'll giv it 4.5/5.The action is rockin , the drama splendid and dialodges superb.I'll giv u some info and not leak the suspence-

Many x-men people join the brotherhood I guess… who knows, these are just my views, may be wrong on the whole, jus cant wait for the movie to release… and moreover this is the last X-men movie for now.

My God!He kills it ;he kills it!the poor kitty!If i Butcheeras , no how's it spelt?oh, Yeh B-u-t-c-h-e-r was there,i would have strangled him!I am a animal rights activist ,not that humans are less important, but yes i am.(especially chicken rights activist,{actually founder of it}it involves that how the chiken has to be severed and eaten and shat and handled and roasted and baked and killed and shot!)
